Tired Souls

Well of course I am tired. With the new Glamour Expo taking place in-world, it’s hard not to be.

Hey my fabulous fashionitas! Be sure to check out the Expo taking place over at Vanity Universe (http://slurl.com/secondlife/VANITY%20UNIVERSE/133/120/601). While you don’t need to run, since the Expo is on until mid October, you may want to get over their before it gets too lag-ified.

I ran into Anna Zwiers yesterday. As seen here, we were both sorta worn out, LOL. We lamented about the ‘no fly’ zone in the Expo. Determined not to walk out pretty pixel toes to death, we parked it on some plush seats and did what any upstanding fashionista would do– we used our cameras!

Lots of goodies to be had. Love the newness from Mimikri!! And of course lots of freebies too. Some I had to toss out, but many I kept and will weave into my never ending mass that’s called my inventory. My favorite keepers were the freebies from Freda’s, Lemania Indigo, and Thriza.

My outift for the day, a wonderful freeb from Snatch, was perfect for exploring the Glamour Expo. Complete with a skin from A.Y.Y. (check out their sale going on now, including 50L skins) and free hair from [C&H], I was relatively low of the lag meter and pretty stylish overall.

Until next time dahlings…

I Get Around

Alright…

so you know I like to explore the grid and check out new places. And a big part of that is music and dancing because Khitten loves to dance.

Jazz. Neo Soul. Soul. House. Music of all kinds. But most of all I love the ambience you get when you go into a nice club. Just makes ya feel sexy, ya know?

Well I found the best place in SL to create that feeling of “sexy.” Seven Ultra Lounge. Yes, it is a hangout for the who’s who in SL fashion, music, publishing, and business, but damn it the club is pretty swanky!

Reminds me of some of the posh clubs back home in NYC. Great lighting, plush seats, and very attentive bartenders. And of those dang annoying gestures!! And while I am guilty to using them in certain clubs and with certain DJs, truth be told they annoy me sometimes. Anyway, Seven is open Thursday- Sunday and there is always a full line up of great DJs and sometime a live performance or two.

It does cost to come and hang with the creme de la creme of SL. Folks can either join and pay the monthly fee or pay by the event.  No matter how you get it, it is truly an experience you dont want to miss. Social butterflies, as well as observers (just like myself), will find much going on inside the club. If nothing else, its an interesting peek into the social patterns of SL.

Until next time,

We Did The Mash

Hey Hey!

One thing I love about Second Life, much like my real life, is the ability to play with fashion. I love the idea of taking clothing and mixing/ matching them in a multitude of ways. Nothing says stylish more than someone who can take a piece and work it a different way every time they wear it!

Since fall has finally arrived, I decided to go with a fall theme. I wanted something rich and vibrant, something that would pop! Luckily I had gone shopping a few weeks ago to Lemaina Indigo’s. She had some new items out, including a skirt set called Fall Bobby Socks.

Now we all know my love/hate affair with the prim skirt. Curvy girls like me don’t always see the prim skirt as our friend. So rather than fight that battle, I just decided to use the shirt and prim collar/cuffs from the set. I rememberd buying a pair of really nice, high waisted pants from Sevan, now known as Pink. I pulled the out of the inventory and viola.. a near perfect match.

Now with shirt and pants on, I need shoes. I tried on several different yelloow shoes, and even a few red ones, but finally found a perfect fit sitting in my inventory. The Funny Girl Flat, by Periquita, in yellow was the final touch. It gave my theme the right punch and it just completed the whole look.

With my great fall look, I decided to go out shopping so I added the Burton Handbag by Paper Couture in mustard.

Now I am really read for Fall to blow in and make things nice and cool!

Until next time… Kiss Kiss!
