In the spirit of the holiday season, it’s time for a story. Hmm, not quite a Christmas Carol or even a Grinchy tale. Just pull up a chair and take a trip through the imaginative mind of Khitten, inspired by fashions from across the grid!
Strangers In The Night
She wandered aimlessly through the barren land. He said to meet him where the water runs cool and the light shines bright. But he was nowhere to be found. Their chance meeting last night left her wanting more. He was unable to stay but promised he would return tonight to greet her, be with her, caress her. After seeing the skies turn from dusk to night, she wept softly inside. She thought she had lost her chance for love.

Then there it was. The cool waters… so blue, so cold, and so still. She knew this had to be the place. But would he show or would he leave her in this cold, dark place? She felt a light coming toward her. It radiated a slight sense of warmth… almost a comfort. A just that moment, she turned around and saw him there. Waiting for her. Just like he promised.

Melt My Heart
With the simple curiousity of a child, she started off on my way. You see, she wanted to see snowflakes “up close and personal.” Having them melt on the tip of her tongue wasn’t good enough. She wanted to see them as they made their pilgrimage to the earth. Yes it sounds foolish as most snowflakes meet their demise well before they hit the ground. But even the more reason to see them shape, form, and dance their pretty little shapes on down to certain doom.

She headed up the mountains. Carefully taking each ledge at a time, after a few hours she finally made it to the top. Have you see anything more beautiful than a snow covered mountain? All that hiking deserved a simple reward. She warmed up with a tall, frothy mug of hot chocolate. As she warmed my insides, her outsides danced with glee. Alas, she was among the pretty, cold, wet snowflakes and they danced in the air— just for her!
