The Luxury of Cashmere

Good Evening My Stylish Readers!

Just another day on the grid. Exploring new places. Taking location shots. Ahh, I am very exhausted. I just want to cuddle up with a fluffy robe, a hot cup of coca, and some cookies.

Cashmere is also good for cuddling. The soft feel of it against my skin is so luxurious. So is shopping at Cashmere. Simply put,  it is pure luxury. I have tons of goodies from here– and yes I squeeze my fat ass into every single one of them. The skinny pant runs rampant here and we know us curvy girls shouldn’t wear skinny pants. But it’s SL, so I can get away with it *sticking my tounge out*.

Pink Pantha

I love pink. I love animal print. What a great way to combine the two! A great pink, skinny pant paired with an animal print shirt complete with a skinny, pink tie. My Periquita flats were a great addition to the look.  A simple pair of earrings from KessKreations were perfect since they were color change. Pink champagne.. hmm… how apropos!

White Tiger

This dress is striking. The animal print trim juxtaposed against the abstract design makes an interesting combination. Soft, flowy, and attention grabbing, quite typical of a Cashmere design. The customizable stiletto by hoorenbeck worked well here as I tinted the shoe to match the mix of blues in the halter pattern. A sleek, side-do from Frangipani sealed the deal and kept me in the lap of luxury.

I will say that the prim skirts in many of the outfits from Cashmere were made for very “thin” frames. So there may be some mod time needed for those curvier AVs. Also note that Cashmere does skins and shoes as well. So to keep the look of luxury working from head to toe, perhaps you can check them out.

Double Talk: December 10

Happy Humpday!

Still not feeding this fashionista as I continue the challenge issued by Ketsu.  But I did buy a few items using gift cards. Does that count, technically, as a purchase? Hmm… wonder what Ketsu would say? I don’ think  it does–smile– so let’s proceed as if nothing ever happened. *Khitten whistles a slow tune as she shuffles off…*

I’ve tried to keep up with pics and such, but I know I won’t be able to in the long run. So starting next week, I will continue to blog the challenge on Wednesday’s only. This helps keep variety in my blog and frees me up to still explore life in-world. I will complete this week though, so I still have a few more days of “what’s in the back of the closet”  fashion to share! Let’s get started, shall we?

Big Brains

I have this very bad habit. I find obscure stores in world. I visit them, buy up the joint, and leave. Months later, I am looking through my virtual closet wondering, “what the hell is this and where did I get it?” :sigh: Much was the case with this dress below. It’s so girlie, with its lace trimming. I couldn’t recall for the life of me where I had purchased it.  The dress is from Brain, +BR+, also know as Brain Restriction.  Very nice store with clothing very reasonably priced. I went hog wild there, only to find out some of the items were very hard to mod on me– such as their cute prim ponchos. Luckily much of the stuff is transfer. So if you are on my friends list (even if you aren’t), IM me and I can drop some of the stuff on you.

Feeling Tart

A few weeks ago, Jarnia had a massive sale and closed its doors. Not sure if they will be back, but I liked the casual yet realistic style of the clothing. I paired this sweater/shirt combo with a pair of slacks from Tart.  I bought these slacks eons ago so it was good to break them out again. This “hair with hat” creation is from HMS, which too is no more. Ahh, the perils of SL business. I topped the look off with my favorite shoes from Tesla– the Athena– in black leather.

Sorry to feature so many defunct shops, but that’s the way it is sometimes. SL fashion can be a fickly and costly business. With competition high, sometimes folks just step away or shut down. If you are really interested in any of the fashions, I would suggest looking on OnRez or SL Exchange (it’s called something weird now and I can’t recall what that is) to see if any of these designers uploaded their creations online.

Feeling Moody

Greetings You Gorgeous Gal/Guy!

I’m back with a splash of fun and funk. Fashion, for me, is really about expressing how I feel at the moment. Be it sexy, angry, serious, or silly– my sense of style reflects from the inside out. Good thing Second Life™ has designers for just about every mood you can be in. I felt a lil mix n’ match, mash-it-up style was in order.  Today we will feature the latest in pretty from Hilarious, a sassy dress from Ornamental Life, and a funky tee and scarf from A.Y.Y.

Miss Sassy

Something short. Something cozy. Something a bit sassy. When I saw this dress at Ornamental Life, I just had to have it. The dress comes with 3, yes three, skirt sizes.  I didnt want to go to short or to long, so I went with size 2. Perfect as it showed just enough thigh to make the men look twice and the ladies suck their teeth (lol, j/k). Comes in a variety of colors, but I had these ETD boots in mind. Python stockings from Saya really took the outfit to the side of sassy girl. Nothing like a lil’ skin to draw much neede attention! This hair from Mirai, Anda, was the right fit. Of course, the new Chai skin, Double Shot (7)  in Morpho, made it all complete. The eye makeup is wonderful and the right of shine and rich color.

Miss Pretty

Ahh so Kesseret released a few more morsels of goodness. I admit when I saw this shirt blogged the other day by Luna Jubilee, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. So I snatched it up yesterday (but see, I used a gift card so does that really count as shopping?). I added the brown suede pants by Celestial Studios and these lovely brocade, taupe boots by Lassitude and Ennui (my goodness, I have not seen any newness from them in a while?). Simple, clean jewelry from Bebe and hair from Naughty kept me looking pretty.

Miss Funky

An afternoon stroll across the grid caught me in a real casual and funkified mode. It all started with a quick scroll through my hair folder. I saw my hairs from Adimu and knew I wanted to build around this Macy hairstyle. On a recent trip to AYY, I came across this great tee shirt. Now I am not too much of a tee shirt person in RL. In SL, tees tend to warp and strecth on me. I was pleasantly surprised with the way this tee stayed true to form on me. Kailiana, the adorably sexy mind behind AYY, recently created some cozy scarfs. So I thought adding it here would be a great touch. Er hm, by now you must have noticed that I have these suede pants from Celestial Studios in several colors. Whatever… LOL. I’m all about grabbing up the goodies when they fit and look great! I added pink flats from Periquita for a dash of sweetness admist all this funky stuff!
