Madame X– JUST THAT TYPE OF GIRL

I wanted to be these girls when I grew up. Oohh wheee… these were some damn divas! I “was’ just that type of girl… all the boys liked me and would send me lil nasty notes. Girls didn’t like me because their boyfriends secretly wanted to be with me. LOL, this song was my mantra during high school. Come to think of it… it’s still my mantra!  I’m still waiting on the jet and the black card… *smile*

9.9– ALL OF ME

Not too much to say except that I wish they did more. To this day I dance HARD off this song. I need to stop as I might actually break a bone or something, LOL. But seriously, this song is always a party pleaser and folks ALWAYS get up on this one.

Donna Allen– SERIOUS

And this was one of my favorite dance jams back in the day. Some of you may have never heard of Donna Allen, but she was something fierce. She also sang ‘Satisfied‘ and did a decent remake of Frankie Beverly and Maze’s, ‘Joy & Pain.’ OMG, video in the 80s  were hilarious….

Whimsy and Quirk

Hello All-

It’s an icy and cold Tuesday here in the Northeast USA.  With the weather getting colder, it makes everyone want to bundle up and hunker down. But my mind and spirit are in a slightly-oddish way as of late. So I decided to play dress up according to my mood. May I introduce to you, Whimsy and Quirk?

Whimsy

The feeling of whimsy. It’s defined as a fanciful object or creation, especially in art. The perfect description for this very artful and expressive Barocco Gown from MB Designs. My head filled with flights of fancy and swirls of dancing courts as I draped myself in this gown done in creamy lace. This gown has so much movement and it is truly an attention grabber. I must tell you how I adore the hat– its adds such a charming touch!

Quirk

The feeling of quirk.  Often referred to as something unusual about the manner or style of something or someone.Well it can be said that I am quirky, as well as this exciting and unusual combo from DG Innovations.  I came across this outfit during their Turkey Feathers Hunt (which has been going on for quite some time now). When I first put it on, the word that immediately came to mind was ‘quirky’. This outfit is certain to pick up anyone’s mood and add a splash of fun and uniqueness to their day. The details– such as the glasses by Tickled Pink and hair by Reed Columbia– served to accentuate the obvious oddness. But it works somehow, doesn’t it?
