Happy Shopping Saturdays!
I was feeling kinda blue today, but in a good way. I wanted to fight off those ever lingering holiday blues by sharing the coolness and hipness of the color. Something a lil sophisticated and something very cozy, let’s shake these seasonal blues shall we?
Of course, by now you know about the sale over at Royal Blue. Marni is just a creative fiend when it comes to clothing. Royal Blue has always had a small, almost cultish following. While the catalog is not large, the items in Marni’s new store (located on Horst) are enough to make all devotees happy! Right now, all “blue” items are 10L. Like this very preppy, very high society blazer. Simply teamed with whites and creams from GLAM and Skin Flicks. The shoes were deep in my inventory– a holdover from VAMP before it turned to Jaywalk.
Cozy knits can make all the difference on a cold day. This knit jacket and pant from Ce Cubic effect scream warm fuzzies and hot coco. Ce Cubic effect creates interesting clothing and makes radical use of scultipes, prims, and whatever else they can! On the real, much of the stuff from this store doesn’t fit me well and is often hard to adjust for *my* body type. I have had this outfit since LAST YEAR and it was so frustrating getting the middle prim to fit just right. Below is my best effort. Anyhoo, it is still a wonderfully created outfit. Topped with har/hat combo from :69: (and the hat is color change) and boots from Aoharu, I am ready to chase those blues away!
So go on and find the blue that’s right for you– check out Royal Blue and Ce Cubic effect. For those last minute shoppers, gift cards are on sale at KessKreations and there is a 50% off sale at A&K Designs. Be sure to stop by LVS as well as RavenLynn is doing a fundraiser for Toys For Tots. Lots of gifties on the newly renovated sim (its super cute ya’ll, go check it out), so be sure to grab them up and leave a donation for TOT.
Until next time,
Hey You Fashion Freak!
It’s the end of another week. In just a few short days we will celebrate the Christmas holiday. So if you have not done your holiday shopping, you only have a this weekend to get it done. As for me, I plan to ht the mall tomorrow morning and pray that I am done by late afternoon.
I wanna get animal for a sec. Leopard to be specific. It is a fact that leopards have spots all over their bodies. But did you know, some leopards are born all black. And even those have spots on their bodies too? Interesting eh? See the spots, serve as protection, sort of like camouflage for the leopard. It helps leopards sneak up on their prey, but also helps them blend in well with the habitat.
I pretty much feel as though I’m on the prowl when I wear leopard. But for some reason it seems as though I stand out from the crowd, LOL. No worries. My spots help me look fabu no matter where I am, whether its a nature trail or a busy downtown street!
I was definitely looking to get into some major trouble with this sexy look. It all started with this jacket by Nylon Outfitters. It’s one of their older creations, so it had been awhile since I had worn it. But I wanted to glam it up and the metallic leggings from League were perfect. I added the stiletto from hoorenbeck, which I actually customized with a leather body and a leopard heel. I am ready to pounce on my next unsuspecting victim.
Church of Luxe has some lovely interpretations of the little mini-dress, done nicely in colorful leopard prints. Here, I am wearing the Leopard dress in Raspberry. Delicious, right? I added the Holiday hair from House of Heart (HOH). It’s a part of their December gift pack, so head on over and pick one up. A dash of silver, on the legs and the nails, keep the outfit on the lighter side of fun and festive. I’m sure to be one “hunted” with this look!
Well a leopard can’t change his or her spots, but s/he can look glamorous while sporting spots! Whether in the forests or the city streets, wear your spots proudly. Be sure to visit other stores like AnnaH (which is having a 50% sale @ its George location), Canimal (great rocker jacket and mini skirt), Mirrors (nice leopard and other animal print sets), and Thimbles (an adorable leopard mini skirt) for fashion that screams-ANIMAL!
Until next time,
Musical Evolution– Robyn
This is how I remember Robyn. I recall seeing this video for the first time. She sort of put me in the mind of a younger, hipper Lisa Stansfield. I liked the song and the lyrics. I knew she was from “overseas,” as we say in America. I think Sweden to be correct. So sweet and innocent right?
My my.. who would have ‘thunk’ from the sweet Show Me Love to this….
