The New Year Has Come!

January 3, 2009 Khit Comments off

Greetings Sexy Second Lifers!

It’s the first weekend of the New Year! What better way to ring in the New Year than to shop *smile*.

Since I planned to tp all over the grid, I wanted to dress casual and warm.  This great turtleneck was available at the Creator’s Pavilion. It came in several deliciously edible colors and of course I grabbed them all. Paired with the Suede Jean from Celestial Studios. This is a great pant– lots of texture and three prim leg options. Flats from Fuel (cherry) and the city handbag from ETD help make me look like a savvy shopper.

While enjoying the New Year’s Lucky Packs  from many of the Japanese vendors, I ended up tp’ing into =IZUMIYA=. No Lucky Packs here, but there is a lucky chair (lol). Besides with its freebie section and many low cost items throughout the store, you really don’t need a whole lot of luck to look fashionable.  This whole ensemble, shown in entirety except for the shoes, is available on the first floor. I bought it for the jacket and the handbag, but I must say it is a steal and well worth taking a look. Hair is from Find Ash and is part of their New Year’s Lucky Packs.

After I left Find Ash on the Isle of Tranquility, I found some more New Years Lucky Bags.  Amerie’s Naughty (*AN*) has some lucky bags, three in total. Two are hairstyles while the third is this cute check dress in three different colors.

Alright its time for me to get back to shopping! And cleaning my inventory… sigh… I hate doing that. If you are out trolling the Japanese sims and shops, be sure to look for the New Years Lucky Bags and Packs. You’ll never know what great surprises you will find inside.

Until next time,

I’ve Gone Mad!

Happy New Year, My Fabulous Friends!

I hope you had a fun-filled New Year.  My RL celebration was full of drinking, dancing, and singing the night away. I had a great time and trust my dahlings, I looked fabulous! I missed you all *smile*.

With a new year, comes a new outlook. And let me tell you, I feel rejuvenated and excited for my new year in SL. Lets get back to blogging and shopping for fashion!

Today, we are going a bit mad for plaid. I love plaid, tartan check, and all things related. It’s a great pattern, one that you can dress up or dress down. Below are some fashionable and fun ways to go mad with plaid!

Playful Plaid

Sometimes, plaid can be viewed as such a heavy and serious design.  But you can have fun with it!  The focal point of this outfit is this cute plaid skirt from Thimbles. I added a yummy yellow cardigan from *yamy* and a winter scarf  with touches of gold from Thimbles. Accessories from CRAP, Maitreya, and hair from Zero Style add elements of  funk and fun!

Polished Plaid

If you are not as mad for plaid as me, then you want your pattern a bit more subtle and subdued. This look, created with items from GLAM/VG Republic, Sn@tch, and Ibizzare is a polished plaid look, perfect for a day of shopping. A black weave tote from ETD, plaid pattern shoes from ::69::, and a cute hair from W&Y keep the palette dark and the style nice and cool.

Poppin Plaid

If you prefer a brighter, bolder statement with plaid, why not try outerwear. Coats, jackets, and scarves are great ways to bring pattern and texture to your everyday look. Take this simple look for instance. By adding this tartan plaid scarf from edge grafica, this outfit is transformed from the everyday to the extraordinary.

I’ve blogged about Shop Luv before. If you have not checked them out, no pun intended, stop everything and head on over! Gotta love their check coat, this time I am wearing the red.  I added a tee underneath and simple black leggings from AYY.  A cute and cozy way to show your love of plaid!

The adorable little black tartan hat is only 0L. Yes indeed! Head on over to PERTURB/ation and pick yours up in the freebie section. It sits so cutely to the side and is a nice accent to any outfit.

It would be insane to not love plaid!!  It’s a versatile pattern to wear. Head out to some of these locations to get mad about plaid.

I’ll resume my regular columns starting this weekend, so be sure to check back on Sunday for “From My Lips.”

Until next time,
