Family Time at Mouse Land

January 12, 2009 Khit Comments off

It’s a Magnificent Monday!

The other day, my sissy Charity and I went exploring. She stumbled upon Mouse World, a Second Life recreation of Disney World and is inspired by Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Now I must tell you, Charity was very surprised to learn that I have never been to Disney World in RL. Sad, but true. I do hope to go one day as I have heard it is so much fun.

So until then, Mouse World will have to do. We had the best time trying out all the rides. My sissy was so nice to tell me all the RL equivalent rides and such. While we didn’t find any souvenior tee-shirts, we did find these free mouse ears. Aren’t they the cutest?!?!

Round and round we go, on the merry go round

We went to Mouse Land and all we got were these great mouse ears!

Check out Mouse Land for the fun rides and great shops too! Creator and owner, Honda Enoch might be on hand when you get there. This sim was recently renovated and just re-opened, so its a great time to check things out!

From My Lips: January 11

Hey There!

I am a tad bit behind schedule in blogging this week’s edition of From My Lips. But without further delay, here it is! This week features fashions by So Many Styles (SMS).  I was turned on to this store several months ago. I must admit, I really like the clothing– funky casual I like to call it. Skirt and pants sets, along with separates and ethnic/ African inspired clothing– So Many Styles really lives up to its name.

The Autumn Coat

The focal point here is this fun coat. It comes in several other color combinations, including  red and orange.  Overall, the coat has very nice detailing, including a hand drawn loop on the back of the coat. The swing prim is mod and was very easy to fit for my AV. I created a great outfit– with styles from Dutch Touch, Fuel, and Shop Seu– that’s perfect for exploring the grid or hanging out at the coffee shop.

The Sporty Dress

As a larger AV, prim belts can be a hassle to modify and a bigger pain to wear. Thank goodness SMS designed this super cute and casual dress. Love the big, bejeweled belt that comes attached to the clothing. Makes dressing easier and eliminates the whole prim challenge.

The Urban Skirt

If you are into a boho, turned downtown slum chic look, then this skirt is for you. Long and flowy, this new release (seemingly available only at the Starlust location) is a great addition to any wardrobe. I had planned on funking this one up complete with jacket and boots. But SL was being a pain that day, so I opted for a simple sweater instead.

The Suit

I worried about this purchase.  I often detest  these sculpted designs. The attachments are usually too small and I spend hours modding it to just the right ( and sometimes not so right) fit for me. But as soon as I slid into the The Suit from SMS, I felt like all had been forgiven. I suddenly began to fall in love with sculplties for the first time. This suit required nothing except for me to slip my body inside. The sexy one shoulder design, the gold embellishments, the fitted look in the middle– what’s not to like about this set!  With multiple color options available, it will hard to decide which one you choose to wrap your body in!

The main location is having a 50% off salon on the second floor only. If this store is new to you, this is the best time to try out something new at a low price point.  Some items start at 40L and up. My favorites: the tweed miniskirt and the pattern pan sets.

Until next time,
