From My Lips: May 24, 2009
Hello My Faithful Readers!
For this week’s edition of From My Lips, I am cheating big time. I went shopping, but in my own inventory. The gifts from Blogger’s Appreciation Week were more than generous and I am still opening them all. Needless to say, shopping time has been reduced while I wade through all these goodies. But that does not mean I have not ventured out for sales, re-openings, and such. In fact, I am working on a fabu post for later on today. Trust me you will love it!
So today I will feature clothes from So Many Styles; Pig, Boing Fromage, Adam and Eve, and much more. I will also have a mini-spotlight on A-Bomb. Nothing on the menu today, seeing as I cooked some BBQ pork chops last night. So you can reheat a plate and grab a glass of my wonderfully home made Arnold Palmer.
Happy shopping!
Around The Grid
I did manage to go out and grab a thing or two this week. A combination of a giftie from SMS and hot pants from GC made for a sexy look. The hair is a new find from Shiloh Jun and it is a braided style with cute metallic rubber bands on the ends. It’s just the perfect hair for this sizzling hot look!

This look was inspired by Sakka’ free clogs. Thanks to Beanie for spreading the word on these cute shoes and the sale at Sakka’s. Alas, I went to the main store and didn’t realize the 50% sale was at a satellite location. Ahh no worries, the prices were still incredibly inexpensive anway so I didn’t mind! With the denim skirt, I added a nifty, unisex sweater vest and a plainV-neck top, both from Pig. A very casual, almost country look!

Mini-Spotlight: A-Bomb
I just adore Addison and Lavea, the worker bees behind A-Bomb. They create such cute and kick ass stuff. The kind of stuff you wear when you are feeling a bit rebellious and ironic. Their inventory covers everything from sneaks, to tees, to pumps, to dresses, and more. I hear that some super, funky, fresh fly boots are in the works. So I will keep my eyes peeled out for those!
Now in all honesty, how could I not blog this dress, called Miss Kiss! It seems like it was made for my avatar and my blog
. It had such a retro feel that I decided to drop by The Vault and belt out a tune. Alas, no one wanted to hear me sing. But I looked the part, eh?

If you don’t know, the Second Life Pride Festivale is underway. Lots of vendors are making some great outfits in support of this event including A-Bomb. This adorable bikini is just 50L and I believe it support the overall cause. The new Candy Smacks skin from A.Y.Y was the perfect choice for this look. Add hair from The Stringer Masoleum and woo hoo… can’t get any better!

According to SecondPride.com, the Second Pride Festival is a festival of the GLBT Community. Activities include hunts, vendors, parties, discussions, and more. No matter where you personally fall on any of the issues related to the GLBT community, the main thing to remember is that respect for everyone is utmost. No matter who someone loves or how they love. We are all human and that is what matters. I salute those in the GLBT as they continue their struggle for understanding, tolerance, and acceptance. Keep doing what you do with Pride!
Until next time,
Kiss Kiss
