What a fabulous weekend in Second Life!

From 50L Friday, to Skin Fair 2, to the unbelievable sales at Snatch and ~flirt~, to 60L Sundays– fashion in Second Life is just bursting at the seams!! My goodess, makes it hard for me to keep up. Luckily, I am not one to follow every trend and nab every item on sale. But I did have a great time this weekend shopping my little heart away.  So fresh from the shelves, discount racks, open fairs, and even the back of my virtual closet– here are some great looks that will keep you falling forward.

JUST A PIECE

Candy Enoch and her store, A Piece of Candy, placed this dress as a Midnight Mania gift. Woo Hoo!! You know I have a thing for the Mania, so a few ays ago I slapped the boards. This lovely reward landed in my inventory. What a nice treat! This dress comes with two skirt options and is done in a lovely sompliment of tans, golds, and cream. Talk about something tasty, I am in love with the newest release from boon! This hair is a wonderful mix of classy and funky. I think I am going to live in this hair for at least the next week.

This seemingly dreched in chocolate skin is from A Piece of Candy and is available now at Skin Fair 2. Group members got a preview of these newest skins recently, complete with a free skin in two select tones.  I am wearing the new tone, Guise, in the Vanity Skin Fair tone Kari.

WELCOME BACK KIDDO!

Sometimes we have friends in SL that leave then come back. Such is the case with my friend Valerie Jefferson, the stylish woman behind the very “tart” clothing line called slore. Valerie has been gone from my SL for quite some time. Recently she IM’ed me to say she was back with a vengance. After squeeing with delight for about 20 minutes, I had her spilling the beans on her latest project. 

As her tag line goes, slores do it better! So what is a slore exactly? Well as Val put’s it:  A Second Life whore, or a slutty whore. To be a whore in today’s society equates you to being a loose woman, freely indulging in sex with whomever you please; nothing is closer to the truth here in SL, and its my belief that women should be as free as a man in regards to her sexuality. .:slore:. aims to empower women through clothing and accessories that embrace our curves, show off our assets, and that lets men know who holds their power in-hand  (or mouth).

I am rocking this wonderful, freebie skin from Skin Fair 2. GeEs Designs has a wonderful gift freebie pack that features this tone, called Tara, in gloss/no gloss variations. The skin is well made IMHO and is a great introduction to the brand. Way to go!

ROCKER CHIC

Even if rocking out isn’t your thing, it is very easy to pull together a ‘tough girl’ look.  The focal point for this out was the great cropped jacket from Niniko. In the most neutral shade of grey, this jacket can be paired with a dress or with tapered pants as seen below.  With a a great striped sweater from [miw] (found at the GNUbie Store) and cigarette pants from First Impressions (circa 2007), this look is so easy to pull together.

And speaking of sales… last weekend Fishy Strawberry had a wonderful “black” sale. I managd to fight through the crowd to find some cute items of interest. So hawt. So rock. So now!!  These item are still available but have returned to their original prices.
