A Tribute to Ivalde
Today is a special day! Bloggers and fans alike pay tribute to Nefaria Abel and the lables known as Ivalde/ L’Abel.
I can recall actually meeting Nefaria over a year ago. Although I had paid many a visit to Ivalde, this particular day was “green day.” Everyone was encouraged to come shop and wear green. DJ Ketsu was at the mainstore spinning the tunes and Nefaria was hanging out. I was lucky enough to snap a pic of us all dancing and having a great time. Nefaria was such a sweetheart that day and my interaction with her just reinforced my overall feelings for her store and her clothes.
I was shocked when I first heard that Ivalde/ L’Abel would be no more. I can totally respect and understand that RL is RL and must come first. But I was a very happy when I heard a store was set up in world and that some pieces of Ivalde/ L’Abel would still be with us. Thanks to all her friends that helped make that happen!
Throughout my short time blogging, but even longer time Flick’ing, I have showcased designs from both Ivalde and the more recent L’Abel. From being marooned on a lovely beach and being lost in the wheat fields, to strolling down the Gossip Girl sim, to just exploring the grid, to celebrating the Inauguration– Nefaria’s fashions are perfect for every mood and time in one’s SLife.
I’ve danced the night away in a Nefaria creation.
I’ve hung out in the city park in a Nefaria creation.
I’ve walked the barren plains in a Nefaria creation.
I’ve done just about everything in a Nefaria creation and I have always looked fashionable doing so! But in keeping with the spirit of the day, below are a few more of my personal favorites. It’s That Time Again!
I have spent much of this weekend enjoying my RL and so this week’s edition of From My Lips will be a tad sparse. That’s not to say there is a lack of fashion. I am merely preparing you for a trimmed down version of my normally packed-to-the brim column. Even while living and loving RL, I found some time to do some shopping.
Featured this week are a few great sale items found at the Creators Pavillion sale; a totally girly dress from Diversity; perfect $1L hair from Mikan Hairshop; a must have shirt from Reale; a sexy bathing suit from SF Design; and sale hairs from Novocaine, as seen at Truth Island; and much more! Guess this edition is not as light as I thought it would be, LOL. Anyway, go grab your favorite drink, pull up a chair, and enjoy!
Checking Out the Creators Pavillion
At the start of every season, the Creators Pavillion seems to hold a wonderful sale. Sorta like a sidewalk sale, the Creators Pavillion sale is a collection of designers that offer selected items at sale or drastically reduced pricing. It is always well worth the visit and I look forward to it. As usually, I walked away with tons of goodness. I was able to grab a $1L hair from Mikan and a multi-function dress/ cami from Honey Soul (as shown below) as well as fashions from other designers. Be sure to stop on over to the CP Summer Sale.

This sexy bathing suit is actually part of a combo outfit from SF Design. The outfit actually comes as a dress, complete with glitch pants and flexi skirt. Just The Cutest Things
Sometimes you see something so precious that you have an “awww” moment. That’s how I felt on my recent trips to Reale and Diversity. Lacey, frilly, detailed, and girly– these designs are just the perfect thing to make you feel pretty and make you say “awwww”. I will note that the top below does come with prim sleeve attachments, which I am not wearing. I tend to stray away from attachments on the shoulders and arms as they are the hardest (IMHO) to adjust. And although I am not one for lots of food attachments either, I just could not resist the fun items at Somethin’ In Your Mouth. They have the cutest items, like the fudge pop shown below. Yummy!

As some of you may know from reading my blog, I am back to Dj’ing. It has been a long time since I was playing in SL and I must say its been good getting back into the swing of things. I am starting slow though. LOL, I do a weekly radio gig for about 2 hours. It’s called Set If Off Saturday with moi– DJ Flashback. You can catch the show on Ground Level Radio. Is There a Cure For Mania?
I’ve got a sickness… can you help me?
When I was still a young lass on the SL grid, I was slightly addicted to lucky chairs. However, much like my RL, I grew tired and impatient of waiting. I grew weary of the mob mentality. I left the lucky chairs to the more adventerous. Slowly, I weened off that addiction and became a more savvy shopper.
But now this damn Midnight Mania threatens to return me to a state of constant want. As I zip across SL, to stores on my most wanted list, I frantically touch the Midnight Mania board. I dread those words… LOCKDOWN! Uggh, just the thought of missing a delightful morsel in my inventory every midnight hour is too much to bear. So nowI log on early and often in order to touch the board.
Me thinks I need help!

I have always been fascinated with shirts and clothing that have interesting graphical designs.
