Winter Bliss

I can hear my Mom now. Sweetheart be sure to put on your hat. It’s cold outside.

Even in SL the weather can be a bit chilly. So for these colder weather months, Iconic Couture has created some fantastic new hair styles that include hats. Like this one, called Casa Blanca.  A tightly pulled back twisted bun topped off with a fedora-type hat. The hat comes in several dark, but very neutral colors to match your fashions. Not only do you look stylish but you are warm too.

Just the way Mom would like it!

Noya Gives Good Mesh

So ya’ll know I am *not* the biggest fan of mesh, especially clothing. But I will say that I have warmed up considerably to mesh hair and shoes. These boots from NOYA, the current VIP group gift, has nudged me a tad bit closer to the dark side, lol. NOYA is a new store/designer to me, so I was a bit hesitant when I received a blogger copy. I wasn’t sure it would fit me and I didn’t want to go through a long process of altering my shape.

From the moment I put on the NOYA Eclat Mesh (rigged) Leather Boot,  I was in love. Maybe it was the color, a rich shade of blue. Maybe it was the texture, a realistic, soft crushed leather.  Or perhaps it was the almost perfect fit (just 2 min of tweaking was all I needed). Anyhoo, I have yet to take these off. I adore them!! Luckily you can grab them too. Join the NOYA VIP Group (in-world) and these boots will be your free gift!

If blue isn’t your color, you can grab the black pair at the NOYA Store (SL Marketplace) for 250L.

Here’s To You!

Dear Readers and Supporters:

2011 was a great year for my little ol’ blog. I reached a few milestones along the way that made me very proud. I completed my 1,000th post! I finally reached 50,000 hits.  I even gained a few subscribers too. All of this has made me estatcic beyond belief.  Hey, I’ll drink to that!

When I started this blog in 2008, I didn’t aim to be the most artistic, the most dramatic, or the most popular. I was a curvy, black girl on the grid who wanted to share her sense of style. My goal was to show SL fashion and designers in a way that looked real, approachable, and above all fun and flattering!

This lil blog is a true labor or love. To think that readers view it daily, leave comments, or share it with others is truly special. I want to thank all of you that take the time to stop on over to see my posts.  Every hit counts (LOL) and of course your feedback is encouraging. A heartfelt thank you to the subscribers of this blog– you all rock big time!

I want to take time to extend extra special thanks to the following designers and supporters of this blog. These folks made 2011 an exceptional year for me in terms of fashion:

  • Alisivia Tyran of Fab-U-Lous Hair
  • Anessa Stine of DCNY Clothing
  • AnneJoy Paine of aDiva Couture
  • Meghindo Romano of Meghindo’s
  • MentalKaos Akina, all around diva extraordinaire
  • Ms. Neveah Niu of Iconic Couture Hair

So I raise my glass and toast all of you that have shared in this blog with me. Have a wonderful New Year 2012— I look forward to creating more SL memories with you in the year to come!
